History of the Integrated Recycling System

2008: Started Operation of the Integrated Recycling System in China. / 2007: Expanded Production of Resource Recycled Color Digital Multifunction Devices - DocuCentre C2100. Started Construction of an Integrated Recycling. / 2005:Began supplying products that comply with the RoHS Directive.Began operations at the integrated recycling system plant for the Asia-Pacific Region,Built and started services for a “Collection System for Multifunctional Devices and Copy Machines”.Recycled plastic chips introduced into products at production bases in China. / 2004: Began constructing an AP integrated recycling plant in Thailand.Built and started services for a “Printer Collection System”. / 2003: Obtained designation from the Ministry of the Environment as a “qualified industrial waste process for recycling over a broad area”. / 2002: Developed design for both 3R+C (Common) packaging. / 2001: Activities to promote environmental issues under the guidance of suppliers,Disclosure of environmental data through new eco labels and “Product Eco-Data”. / 2000: Began nationwide expansion of zero-landfill system for collected products.Achieved 50% reuse rate for parts through implementing a 3R design. / 1999: Breakthrough with production of 100,000 products containing reused parts. / 1998:ABS plastic recycled from collected copy machines used as outside covers. / 1997:Recycling line for collected copy machines newly built. / 1995:Products containing reused parts introduced to the market.Formulation of companywide policy for recycling of products 1993: Concept for recycling system (recycling of products) established. / 1991: Companywide basic environmental policy formulated
