Integrated Recycling System-New Manufacturing Style: “Integrated Recycling System”

Life Cycle Planning

At Fuji Xerox, we give top priority to parts reuse even from the planning stages for new products.
For copy machines, which can be used for a period of 3 to 5 years, a generation change of models is expected to occur during this usage period.
For this reason, in order to effectively reuse parts, it is essential to plan a life cycle so that when the parts are collected after being used as part of a new product, they can be reused throughout many generations as parts for successive models.
In 1999, Fuji Xerox introduced a model with a 2-generation design to the market for the first time, where approximately 40% of the parts could be reused over the span of 2 generations.
Currently, products with parts that can be used for 3 generations are on the market.
We will move forward with the expansion and application of 2-generation and 3-generation designs, focusing on our key models.
