At Fuji Xerox-Resource Recycling System for Paper

In order to ensure that paper, which is an efficient media, can continue to be used valuably, we are expanding the "resource recycling system for paper" at our headquarters (Roppongi and Nakano Sakaue) as well as at the Ebina Center. In the past, there was not enough separation of used paper generated at offices, and as the paper manufacturing technology was not advanced, it was common to recycle such paper into toilet paper and cardboard. With the "resource recycling system for paper," used high-quality paper, such as copier and printer paper, that is generated within the company is recycled once again into copier and printer paper of a higher value, and by using this paper once again within the company, we are aiming for as much reductions in the inputs of forest resources, which are primary materials for paper, as possible.

Mechanism for the Resource Recycling System for Paper [Route (1)] Recycled and made into copier paper: Paper-manufacturing company→Paper sales→New headquarters for Fuji Xerox→Used copier paper (black-and-white)→Used paper recycler→back to Paper-manufacturing company [Route (2)] Recycled and made into printer paper: Printing paper→Paper sales→New headquarters for Fuji Xerox→User printer paper, Including copier paper (color)→Used paper recycler→back to Paper-manufacturing company [Route (3)] Recycling of confidential documents: Paper-manufacturing company→Paper sales→New headquarters for Fuji Xerox→Confidential documents→Used paper recycler→back to Paper-manufacturing company. - Used copier paper (black-and-white) is recycled into copier paper as much as possible, and used again within the company. (Route (1)) - Used printer paper and copier paper are recycled and used again within the company as printer paper for pamphlets, etc. (Route (2)) (in planning stage) - Confidential documents are recycled into materials for toilet paper by using R Box and “tear and crush”-type shredders/Trust-Eco, and used within the company. (Route (3))
