Fuji Xerox has been supporting various soccer matches under a belief that it is one of the company’s missions to contribute to the progress of Japanese soccer and the sound development of the juveniles in Japan.
Fuji Xerox’s first engagement with soccer began in 1970 with the sponsoring of the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament, which is continued to date. The All Japan High School Soccer Tournament is an adored stage for all high school soccer players, and has produced many excellent players who have supported Japanese soccer.

Then, Fuji Xerox began the sponsoring of Xerox Super Soccer in 1979, introducing the world’s top teams and topnotch players that contributed to the strengthening of Japanese soccer and the promotion of international friendship. Within the nine Xerox Super Soccer matches held, a number of world’s superstars, such as Franz A. Beckenbauer (Germany), Johan Cruijff (Netherlands), and Diego A. Maradona (Argentina), visited Japan and fascinated Japan’s nationwide soccer fans with their top-class performances. Moreover, Fuji Xerox believes that Xerox Super Soccer, through matches with the world’s leading teams, contributed to steadily boost up the Japan’s national team to a level today in which it can perform on the international stage. In 1994, the following year in which Japan’s professional soccer league J.League started, Fuji Xerox changed the name of its sponsoring event to Xerox Super Cup, to conduct a dream match between the previous season’s J.League champion vs. the winner of the traditional Emperor’s Cup All Japan Soccer Tournament. Xerox Super Cup has now come to stay on Japan’s soccer calendar as a match that marks the beginning of the soccer season.
In 2002, Fuji Xerox became a proud official sponsor of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/JapanTM, which brought excitements to worldwide soccer fans. Furthermore, Fuji Xerox has come to sponsor the East Asian Football Federation established on May 28, 2002. The East Asian Football Federation is aiming to deepen friendship and bring together its member associations through the sponsorship of East Asian Football Championship and other soccer matches, to improve the East Asian soccer and at the same time contribute to bringing peace through soccer. Fuji Xerox, as a company that conducts business not only in Japan but also in Asia/Oceania region including China, has agreed to the objectives of the East Asian Football Federation to support its activities as an official sponsor.

Through the sponsorship of these activities, Fuji Xerox would like to contribute to further development and prosperity of soccer and other sports cultures in East Asia.
