Conserving the Global Environment

The Concept of Conserving the Global Environment to Contribute to Society

As part of efforts to build a sustainable society, Fuji Xerox encourages activities that contribute to promoting employee understanding of the environment and to dialogue with local communities窶蚤nd, ultimately, to the creation of a world in which activities that advance nature conservation and environmental protection are part of daily life.

Specific activities described below involve educating children, who represent future generations, and contributing to nature conservation activities through efforts that promote forestation and preserving satoyama, or natural woodlands. Rather than providing mere financial support, Fuji Xerox focuses on encouraging employees to participate in these activities themselves.

Satoyama (Natural Woodlands) Preservation Activities

These activities allow employees to take part in nature conservation activities. Getting a true feel for the abundance of nature and the value of ecosystems raises environmental awareness among our employees.

The Kid's ISO Program

This is an environmental education program in which children tackle the challenges of conserving electricity, gas, and water and reducing waste at home.

Training Sessions for Nature Guides

Over seven years, these sessions have produced more than 200 nature guides who contribute to their communities as nature conservation leaders.

Company-Specific Themes

Based on the theme of preserving biodiversity, employees of each company and facility in Japan and around the world undertake independent activities closely tied to the needs of their own countries and regions.
