At Fuji Xerox, we believe that volunteer activities not only contribute to development of society, but they also act as an enabler for personal growth and satisfaction in each of our employees who participate, as well as promote the invigoration and growth of the company itself.
For these reasons, we have set up several systems within our company to support the volunteer activities by the employees.
Firstly, an in-company volunteer organization called the “Hasuu Club” provides an opportunity for employees who want to participate in volunteer activities. This club takes fractional amounts (less than 100 yen) from employees' paychecks, together with personal contributions, to gather funds for activities in the fields of “social welfare,” “culture and education,” “protection of the natural environment,” and “international aids.”
Secondly, for employees who want to take a day off and participate in volunteer activities, we provide a volunteer day off that can be taken separately from paid leave. Thirdly, Fuji Xerox also has social service leave, where employees who want to participate in long-term volunteer projects, such as social contribution projects abroad, can take a sabbatical for starting from 3 months and up to 2 years.
In addition, Fuji Xerox and its affiliates, including overseas subsidiaries, carry out Social Contribution and Environment Conservation Campaign form June to September every year to promote more participation in volunteer activities by employees.
