Conserving the Environment

The principle of environment conservation as Social Contribution

To realize a sustainable society and create a world that proactively supports activities to protect nature and conserve the environment, Fuji Xerox is carrying out the following activities, which are positioned as part of its environmental education program for employees and as a way to communicate with local communities.
The goals are to educate children, who will lead the next generation, and support activities to conserve nature through afforestation and nature preservation at satoyama woodlands, based on the recognition of the need to reduce the impact paper manufacturing has on the environment. In addition to providing financial support, we place an emphasis on our employees actually participating in these activities.

“Kids'ISO” Program

This is an environmental education program in which children assume leadership roles in an effort to reduce the consumption of power, gas, and water, as well as the volume of garbage generated.

Satoyama Conservation Activities

Employees participate the activities of nature conservation voluntarily. These activities aim to raise the environmental awareness of employees by encouraging them to take part in activities to protect nature, so that they become aware of nature's diversity and the value of the ecosystem.

Certification Workshop for Nature Guides

A total of 200 nature conservation guides have been trained during the past seven years. These guides contribute to local communities as leaders of local activities to protect the natural environment.
