The article 36 agreement between labor and management (named after the article 36 in Labor Standards Law) sets limits on overtime work. The agreement is reached in each business office and the limits on overtime work will be decided upon the working condition of the year as well as discussion with labor unions conceming work force and work hours based on the business plan for the next fiscal year.
The article 36 agreement is also concluded between employee representatives and companies in other affiliates corresponded with the business character of each company. Sales companies are sharing the attendance checking system and control the working condition if necessary. In oversea business offices, labor management is implemented following with the labor laws of the country. So far, the management system and measures are still not unified because of the difference of each country's work style and work hour. However, from now on, we will survey labor laws and labor conditions of other countries from the prespective of CSR. Please see the “Self-Evoluation on Our CSR Performance” |

In FY2007, we expect to voluntarily implement the revision of work load and work style, reflectiving on the basic concept of “realization of competitiveness through the revolution of work styles and “realization of work-life balance.” As a part of this effort it, some departments introduced advance application system of overnight or holiday work. However the total annual work hours of whole company did not decrease. |

Not only by controlling the work hours, we also yield great effects by improving the productivity through which the quality, quantity, classification, and work style of business are reviewed and necessary time is estimated for different job. In FY2008, we will review the business thoroughly through detailed policies and continue to make efforts to the revolution of work styles with the discussion on total work hours target. |
