This section introduces Fuji Xerox's two initiatives of reducing environmental impact, One is “initiatives to prevent global warming”, and the other is “initiatives to conserve natural resources”.

In FY2007, we focus our initiatives in China, which has important production sites of Fuji Xerox and has higher energy-saving efficiency with less investment. From FY2008, we will continuously promote our initiatives with the indicator of CO₂ absolute emissions.

Initiatives for conserving natural resources include reductions in waste and water consumption.
In addition to our ongoing work on zero emissions at our production sites, office sites have established a foundation for waste management through ISO 14001 certification as well. Also, water consumption in FY2007 was 20% reduced than the FY2005 level.
