Fuji Xerox makes available to stakeholders information concerning environmental impact generated by its business activities, its initiatives to reduce this impact, environmental data on products, and other aspects of our environmental endeavors, through a variety of mediums, including the Internet and exhibitions as well as advertising. In addition, we have contact points for responding to questions and opinions regarding such information. |

From October 24th to 26th, 2007, Fuji Xerox and Fuji Xerox Kyoto participated “Lake Biwa Environmental Business Exhibition,” an environment industrial fair. In our booth, we introduced our environmental initiatives by exhibiling “biomass plastic” (using corn as raw material), “returnable packaging box” which received several prizes such as Technology Prize of Logistic Awards. |

Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., IndoChina Operations exhibited at “the 4th EcoProducts International Fair” (organized by the Asian Productivity Organization, the Standard Quality Bureau under the Ministry of Science & Technology of Vietnam, the Production Office of Vietnam), held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam from March 1st to 4th, 2008. The fair aims to popularize eco-friendly products and services in Asia, and from the first one in Kuala Lumpur, it has been held every year in the cities in Asia, such as Bangkok, Singapore, and Hanoi. Every year, local sales companies of Fuji Xerox participate this fair to introduce our initiatives to environment and exhibit our eco-friendly products. |

In this fair, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. IndoChina Operations, major local agency “Hanoi Shutan,” and CSR Department at Fuji Xerox worked together to introduce the environmental initiatives of Fuji Xerox and its affiliates by using panels and videos, such as the development of ecology and safety vision, energy-saving products, and the structure of resource recycling system. We also introduced energy-saving in office as one of the activities under ISO14001, and employees' afforestation activities as own initiatives of Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. IndoChina Operations. In our products display space, we exhibited the color printer DocuPrint C1100, DocuPrint C3050, and DocuCentre-Ⅱ C3300, and introduced their energy-saving functions. |

We have created a website called Environmental Activities to provide detailed information on Fuji Xerox's efforts concerning environmental issues. We made a greater effort during FY2007 to disseminate information and we have already increased the volume of information that is now available. We periodically run advertisements on environmental topics in newspapers and magazines to provide information on Fuji Xerox's environmental initiatives to a wide audience. In FY2008, our environmental advertisement “Environmental Philosophy to All Parts” series won “the Best Advertisement” in “Nikkei BP Advertisement Prizes” sponsored by Nikkei BP, “ Nikkan Industry News & Advertisement Prizes” of “Japan Industry Advertisement Prizes” sponsored by Nikkan Industry Newspaper. The awarded advertisements focus on parts reuse, using such symbolic parts as screws and springs visually, to appeal Fuji Xerox's attitude of creating various designs and technologies to improve reuse rate and keeping the balance between high quality products and environmental considerations.

Besides Fuji Xerox and its affiliates in Japan, its overseas sales companies are also tackling environmental management. At present, regarding the reduction of CO2 emissions, each sales company considers its own numerical targets, which are then considered by the Fuji Xerox headquarters and finalized.
We are examining current situation and determining implementation plans in FY2008 for zero emissions.
The situation concerning green purchasing differs greatly depending on the particular country, making it difficult to establish unified targets. For this reason, each business site determines its own target and is making efforts on it. |
