Our goals in FY2007 were to increase the eco-efficiency (CO2 emissions) of business activities 1.15 times, logistics 1.62 times, product 1.77 times for monochrome machines and 4.0 times for color machines (all compared to FY2000) and lifecycle stage overall eco-efficiency 0.96 times. As the result of FY2007, because of the increase of air transportation, we could not achieve the goals in logistics, although eco-efficiency goals in business activities were achieved. Also, we could not achieve overall goals in products because monochrome machines failed to achieve target with 1.75 times, although color achieved target with 5.64 times. As the result, we could not achieve eco-efficiency plans in overall lifecycle stage. |

From FY2008, our goal has been changed to carbon indicator goal from eco-efficiency indicator goal. We are striving to manage by CO2 emissions in absolute terms and process within new framework. Fuji Xerox and its affiliates are working to achieve the goal of increasing the CO2 emissions at our customers' offices to double the CO2 emissions produced our business activities by FY2012. Please see the “Mid-Term Environmental Management Plans” for details of carbon balance goal. |
