Every year we issue our Sustainability Report with two aims: to inform our stakeholders of our activities that contribute to the creation of a sustainable society as well as our philosophy behind those activities; and to promote dialogue with our stakeholders.
Our Sustainability Report comprises three components: this report, the Contents Book Summary, and the Online Contents Book, so that readers can directly access the information they are most interested in. (See diagram below.)
In Sustainability Report 2009, “Highlights” and “CSR Activities in Our Affiliate Companies” feature employees working together with stakeholders to resolve social issues that are unique to their communities.
“Progress of Our CSR Performance” outlines our PDCA progress and attainment levels in 24 key CSR areas. Fuji Xerox introduced a more detailed assessment system in April 2009 as a way to better track the
efforts of all domestic and overseas affiliates, and we have endeavored to improve the comprehensiveness and reliability of the data.
One of this year's columns showcases a conversation about community-based management between Fuji Xerox executives and Sadako Ogata, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Another column spotlights Fuji Xerox's proposal to promote the diffusion of large-font textbooks essential for children with visual impairments.
We look forward to receiving your frank comments and impressions about our Sustainability Report 2009 via the questionnaire found either at the back of this publication or on the Internet.

Sustainability Report 2009 covers Fuji Xerox's activities during the 2008 fiscal year (April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009); however, some policies and activities for the 2009 fiscal year are also included.
Sustainability Report 2009 covers Fuji Xerox and those domestic and overseas affiliates where Fuji Xerox holds the majority of the shares issued. Fuji Xerox's environment management system covers all affiliates; however, the data of some affiliates may not be included in the environmental reporting.
