PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register)
The PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register) contains data on chemical substances specified in the Act on Confirmation, Etc. of Release Amounts of Specific Chemical Substances in the Environment and Promotion of Improvements to the Management Thereof (PRTR law), in cases where 1 t or more of such substances are emitted or transported.
PRTR data on Fuji Xerox's overseas production centers are not included, as the system of pollutant management is not the same as in Japan.
Listing of Data on the Detection of Substances and Their Values in and after fiscal 2001
For newly established centers and overseas production centers, a survey on soil and groundwater is conducted at the time of acquisition of land or when leasehold is taken out. The substances to be investigated are determined based on the history of how the particular property was used.
