We introduce our material/device technology and system technology that enable you to handle a large amount of documents easily and securely. We also introduce our evaluation and analysis techniques that form the basis for technological development.
The continuous evolution of document services requires a long-term commitment to researching and developing the technologies at its foundation. Moreover, the widespread availability of broadband has greatly increased the need to handle large volumes of documents. Recognizing these challenges, Fuji Xerox is developing the technologies that make document handling easy and secure, such as those for optical transmission and recording, a next-generation document display, and other secure devices and systems. We are also aggressively pursuing research and development in the evaluation and analysis technologies essential to create products that are high quality, reliable, and safe to use.
Some representative technologies are:
1.
Optical transmission and storage technology
Fuji Xerox is developing high-performance, low-cost optical transmission modules that push past the limits of current transmission infrastructures such as conventional electric wiring and optical fibers. We are also developing recording media that can store large volumes of information.
2.
Next generation document media technology
Combining the handiness of paper and the convenience of a digital tool, electronic paper allows anyone to handle digital information easily. Fuji Xerox has developed a new electronic display device and is researching display technologies best suited for reading documents.
3.
Security technology
Progress in digitization and networking, while making document handling more convenient, has highlighted the need for security measures to prevent information leakages and other security risks. Fuji Xerox is developing technologies that ensure the security of any document, both of electronic and paper document.
4.
Evaluation and analysis technologies
To ensure safe, user-friendly products Fuji Xerox is developing environmental measurement and evaluation technologies relating to noise and electromagnetic environments, image evaluation technologies that promise high-quality documents, and the simulation technologies essential to successful product development.
Security Paper TechnologyTechnology that secures paper documents by detecting super-fine amorphous magnetic wires embedded into the paper.
Paper Fingerprint Recognition TechnologyTechnology that can be used to maximize security, taking advantage of the fact that each piece of paper has its own unique fibers and can be recognized in much the same way as a fingerprint.
VCSELA surface emitting laser technology that promises longer operating life through lower power consumption.
Optical Sheet Bus TechnologyOptical sheet bus technology that facilitates the production of devices that are simple and small yet capable of improved, high-speed optical transmission.
