IReCT (Image Registration Control Technology) is a newly developed digital image registration control technology that makes it possible to correct images in ultra high precision of 2,400dpi.
Hitherto, image misregistration and color drift of color data has been corrected mechanically. With high-speed color tandem engines, however, there is a limit in mechanically correcting misregistration since ROS and photoreceptor are equipped for each color.
"IReCT" reads in image misalignment information by using optical censors, and corrects image misalignment for each color in high precision of 2,400dpi based on that information and digital data. (Fig. 1)
As a result, precision of registration increased remarkably, and we have succeeded in surpassing the limits of mechanical correction. IReCT made it possible to provide ultra high precision print images without color drift, even with a high-speed color copying machine.
