"Eco-Scheduler" is a service that calculates and visualizes the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions derived from the scheduled business activities of office workers, in support of an environmentally-conscious working style. To prevent global warming, many efforts are currently underway to reduce CO2 emissions by using Information and Communication Technology (ICT). As most of these measures require large budgets or long-term continuous efforts, we have focused on changing the working style of office workers, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions in a short time.
This paper describes an overview of Eco-Scheduler and reports the results of comparing the amounts of CO2 emitted from the business activities of office workers between before and after introducing Eco-Scheduler, in order to identify customers' values. This paper also discusses sustainable efforts to realize an environmentally-conscious working style.
