DocuPrint CP200 w / P200 b is a low-price A4 desktop printer that employs a newly developed small size color marking engine. This engine enables the product to achieve the world’s smallest size and lightest weight as a tandem color laser printer as of its launch in November, 2011 and to offer high print speed of 15ppm in color and high print quality. It adopted the fixed mount type photoreceptor, instead of the customer replaceable unit (CRU) type, and the LED print head (hereafter LPH) type imaging device, instead of the laser type, in order to simplify user operation to the maximum as well as to realize downsizing, weight reduction, and high print quality. This report describes the product overview and the technologies and features adopted by DocuPrint CP200w / P200b, mainly focusing on the characteristic technologies of the color engine.
