Working Folder: A Cloud-Based Document Sharing Service

Fuji Xerox has provided on-premises document sharing systems used in companies. Such document sharing systems allow for the effective sharing and utilization of documents (containing important internal information). However, these systems have such issues as high operation and management costs, and the inconvenience caused when accessing the systems from outside of the office.
Along with the growing use of cloud services and such mobile devices as tablets, there is increasingly higher demand for safe and easy ways to use documents from outside of the office.
Fuji Xerox has newly developed and launched a document sharing service (called Working Folder) using cloud technology, based on its experience in developing on-premises document sharing systems.
This report describes the software technology linking mobile devices and multifunctional devices, as well as the changes in work style that Working Folder can bring.
