Fuji Xerox Research Group Invites Top Students Worldwide
Fuji Xerox Research Group has helped customers succeed by getting to know them thoroughly through research. We study and visualize their real issues, discuss business challenges, and create solutions together. Looking forward, we intend to move beyond problem-solving and help our customers create new value for their organizations.
Fuji Xerox is recruiting high-quality people who will serve as the driving force behind achieving our business goal, "better understanding among men through better communications".
Here, we introduce some examples of the research we are conducting.
Since its founding, Fuji Xerox has partnered with customers to help their businesses grow and meet challenges through improved communication.
To that end, Fuji Xerox Research Group has helped customers succeed by getting to know them thoroughly through research. We study and visualize their real issues, discuss business challenges, and create solutions together.
Looking forward, we intend to move beyond problem-solving and help our customers create new value for their organizations.
Here are some examples of the research we are conducting.
"I'm researching ways to improve remote communications technologies. For example, I'm addressing how sharing local documents with a remote site can improve understanding.
"I'm also looking at issues surrounding asynchronous communications between dispersed participants. My goal is to create communications systems that are not confined by time, place, and language.
"The main goal is to achieve a feeling of actually meeting remotely located parties—as if the meeting was face-to-face. I'm engaging in this research because I believe that these technologies promote customers' business development."
"The technology used in my research can help to visualize unstructured data, and in doing so reveal issues and provide new solutions.
"For example, there is an increasing amount of customer feedback. Due to the use of casual language, it's very difficult to automatically sort between positive comments, complaints, or issues, leading to further customer dissatisfaction. I'm working on a natural language processing algorithm to resolve these problems.
"We want to see where the organization of unstructured data supports value creation and solves customer issues."
Fuji Xerox has three research bases which work in cooperation. In order to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs in the Asia-Pacific Region beyond Japan, in 2015 we opened our third research base, the new Innovation Office in Singapore.
The Innovation Office provides us with a third location from which to better provide solutions and create greater value worldwide. Close collaboration between our widely distributed research centers globalizes the value we wish to create for our customers.
"Fuji Xerox Research Group activities span globally. We have joint-researches with prestigious domestic and overseas universities and routinely collaborate within this open-innovation framework along with our colleagues at Palo Alto and Singapore."
"During my second year in graduate school, I attended the Fuji Xerox Visiting Fellowship Program, which is an 11-month internship. During the internship, my theme leader was very kind and supportive, which helped a lot in overcoming the stress of working in a different country."
Our goal at Fuji Xerox is to bring about "better understanding among men through better communications."
We are recruiting high-quality people who will serve as the driving force behind achieving that goal and will make the world their stage.
We're waiting for your challenge.
