Energy-Saving Circuit Technology of High-Voltage Power Supply

Electricity reduction of the DC load system has been a problem for energy savings in Multi Function Devices. Here, I report the energy-saving circuit technology of a high-voltage power supply to the bias charge roll, which I introduced into the ApeosPort C5540I series. The energy-saving circuit was aimed at the reduction of the electricity loss that occurs in conventional sine-wave drive circuits; this reduction was realized by a high-frequency drive method (a method to perform drive circuit switching at high frequencies). The energy saving effect of this circuit method made it possible to cut in half the conventional electricity usage of the high-voltage power supply to the bias charge roll.
